Matt Rogalsky

Matt Rogalsky is an intermedia artist working in the area of live electronic performance and installation, with a focus on responsive and algorithmic computer-controlled sound. His work frequently incorporates video and other light elements. Rogalsky was born in 1966 in Nigeria, and grew up in Canada, Malaysia and Kenya. He studied electroacoustic music composition at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, with Martin Bartlett, Barry Truax, George Lewis and Pauline Oliveros, and at Wesleyan University with Ron Kuivila and Alvin Lucier. He was an archival assistant to David Tudor and has been active documenting and performing new versions of Tudor’s works. ince 1995 Rogalsky has been based in Cambridge England.
