The Focus was on the development and deployment of innovative musical technologies that transform the ways we create and experience music. Van Troyer is currently a Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab, researching concepts and techniques to help advance the future of performance and expression. Designing new interfaces, performance systems, and interactive installations are often what he finds himself doing at the Opera of the Future group at MIT Media Lab.
